UNION GAP, Wash.-- A new manufacturing plant is coming to Union Gap next year and will bring plenty of new jobs with it.
Paragon Films is planning to set up shop in a warehouse on Bay Street next to magic metals. The Oklahoma-based company makes plastic wrap for shipping.
The company is expected to move in next April, and will hire about 20 workers. That number is expected to climb to about 50 workers over the next few years.
"It's gonna have ripple benefits that we feel throughout the Yakima Valley. So, you know, primarily that's gonna come in the form of new tax revenues and jobs for the community," says Dave McFadden with New Vision
The company conducted a site search across several west coast states before settling on the Union Gap location.
