KENNEWICK, Wash. - There's a new smart phone app that can help protect your kids this Halloween.
Iconosys, Inc released its upgraded Halloween-themed app "Trick or Tracker 3.0." The new app has a tracking compass that can let parents know exactly where their children are on Halloween (and the rest of the year.)
The app lets parents set a trigger point at your yard or from door so when kids return home from trick-or-treating, parents get a text message with a daytime satellite image. Parents can also set up a "geo-fence" to be notified if their children travel outside a set perimeter. The new tracking part of the app allows parents to watch a live feed of the exact location of their kids.
The app can be installed on the children's phone and parent's phone, or just on the parent's phone. If the app is only on the parent's phone, they can tract their children by sending a text message with a special secret pin. When the children respond, a GPS location is sent to the parents.
The child must have an android OS phone, but parents can have an iPhone, Blackberry,Windows Phone, or an Android. It's available for download at www.trickortracker.com and iconisys.com. It costs $4.99 for a lifetime license. From October 18 thru October 23, you can download Trick or Tracker® for free from the www.AppHysteria.com AppStore.
