UPDATE: Man fatally shot in Yakima identified

UPDATE: YAKIMA, Wash. - A teenager is in jail facing charges of first degree murder in connection with a gang shooting that left one man dead.  

Yakima Police say Tuesday night, several men were arguing near the Yakima Transit Center, when the 15-year-old boy shot and killed 26-year-old Octavio Rangel. Police say that he died at the scene.

Officers say after the shooting the 15-year-old and another person ran off, but police say they have a number of witnesses and the transit center's surveillance video of the shooting.

Police are still looking for the other person who ran off following the shooting. Officers arrested and booked the 15 year old into Juvenile Detention. 

Police say Rangel and the teenager were members of rival street gangs. 

Officers say this is the 6th homicide in Yakima this year.

YAKIMA, Wash. - A man is dead after a shooting near the Transit Center in downtown Yakima.

Yakima police said two to three men were in a dispute just before 6pm Tuesday when one fired several shots at another.

The man died at the scene. A K-9 unit is currently tracking suspects in the direction they ran.

Police said they have one man in custody but do not yet know if he is involved. The incident is under investigation.
