YAKIMA, Wash.-- Skiers and snowboarders are gearing up to hit the slopes soon, and the White Pass Ski Patrol is holding their 47th Annual Ski Swap this weekend in Yakima.

People can buy or sell their old equipment. Proceeds go to the ski patrol as part of their operating budget for the year. They say the swap isn't just good for them, but for skiers and snowboarders around the valley as well.

"You know it's... You know, a great way to outfit the family. It's a great way to upgrade your own gear and... Come on down and take a look around," says Ken Lust with the White Pass Ski Patrol.

The event is in the Modern Living Building in State Fair Park. Equipment registration is Thursday between 6pm and 9pm or Friday from 9am to 9pm. The main event goes from 9am to 6pm Saturday and 10am to 3pm Sunday.

The Tri-Cities will also have a ski swap starting November 23rd.
