SEATTLE, Wash.- The city of Seattle is considering dropping the regulation that requires taxi cab drivers to bathe and be well-groomed.

The city council Thursday evening will discuss the proposed change. 

Taxi drivers argue the city doesn't set grooming and hygiene standards for other workers and they shouldn't be singled out. They also say it's in their own interests to give passengers a pleasant experience.
