KENNEWICK, Wash. -- It may not be in the forecast, but expect some snow Saturday in downtown Kennewick. Local snowboarding and ski pros will be showing off their skills at the TC Throw Down, a first of it's kind, live ski & snow board expo competition.
The event will shut down S. Cascade St. in Historic Downtown Kennewick so the street can be set up with a fake snow and a ski course along with ramps. Expo starts at 3 PM and the amateur competition begins at 4pm. The professionals will compete at 8pm/ There will be booths set-up around the competition course,a DJ & large projection screen streaming live footage from competition and ski and snowboard videos in between the action.
The event is free to watch , but $20 if you want to participate. Amateurs and professional riders are welcome. For the Pros TC Throw Down is a grudge match rail contest. Snowboarders and Skiers will compete in their own heats with the winner advancing to the next one. The winner of snowboard and the winner of the ski will go up against each other for the overall title.
