KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Kamiakin Braves girls soccer steam-rolled past the regular season competition and they're ranked first in the Mid-Columbia Conference at 13-1. Tomorrow Kamiakin still has to play an elimination game against North Central of Spokane, which finished seven games under .500. The Braves talked about their season and upcoming playoff match-up.
"It means a lot to us to be able to accomplish that also know it's been a few years since we've been champs for our league we've been close, we were second last year. So coming in this year with a bunch of young kids, we have a really young team, was very special," said Chris Erikson, Kamiakin Head Coach.
"We work so hard and then our first game is a loser out game. So hopefully our hard work has paid off and we can get a win on Tuesday," said Megan Young, Team Captain/Senior Midfielder.
