OLYMPIA, Wash. -Thurston County sheriff's deputies say an officer shot and killed a burglar early Friday after the suspect threatened deputies.

A sheriff spokesman says deputies called to a reported burglary at the Littlerock Grocery Store tracked a man to a house.

The spokesman says the man threatened one deputy with some kind of weapon and another deputy fired.

Paramedics took the man to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia where he died.

Deputies haven't released his name.
