SALEM, Ore. - Oregon
students have chosen Barack Obama over Mitt Romney 62 percent to 32 percent in
the race for president.
Results in a mock election
held by the League of Women Voters of Oregon show Obama had 7,182 votes and
Romney 3,675. Four minor party candidates split about 800 votes.
Students favored Ballot
Measure 80 for marijuana legalization 52 percent to 48 percent. Students say the economy was the most important national issue, followed by education.
Students also voted on other state races and ballot measures as part of
a national voter education project.
