Boil water order continues for residents of Athena - NBC Right Now/KNDO/KNDU Tri-Cities, Yakima, WA |

ATHENA, Ore. -  Residents of Athena are still under a boil water order.

City and Public Health Officials are advising all residents to continue boiling water until further notice.

The water supply has possibly been contaminated with harmful bacteria due to loss of water pressure in the distribution system on October 28th, according to a press release.

Health officials said total coliform bacteria was found in the water on Saturday.

The city hopes to have the issue resolved in the next couple days.
