34 Depot Job Losses in November

HERMISTON, Ore. - Staff reductions continue at the Umatilla Chemical Weapons Depot.

34 positions will close at the chemical agent disposal facility this month. 11 people will transfer to other jobs at URS projects.

The next reduction is scheduled for February when the metal parts furnace will shut down.

About 150 jobs will be lost at that time.

More than 700 people still work at the Depot.
