KENNNEWICK, Wash., -- Here's some news you 'knead' to know... a bakery has opened in Kennewick that only uses fresh ingredients.
The Great Harvest Bread Company on West Grandridge Blvd. has been open for just over a week.
The Montana-based bakery mills their own wheat every morning at 3 in the morning and bakes all bread on-site in a 300° rotating oven.
The bakery serves up to 9 breads on a schedule that changes each week.
"We start with milling our wheat every day here and use very simple, wholesome ingredients; many of them are local," says Owner Mike Stoker. "It's a great opportunity to give a good product to the Tri-Cities and the region."
The Great Harvest Bread Company has over 250 bakeries nationwide.
