Students celebrate veterans at Pasco assembly

PASCO, Wash. The students at Captain Gray Elementary School got a jump on Veterans' Day with a salute to local veterans.

The choir from Stevens Middle School sung patriotic songs, and explained the history and importance of Veterans' Day.

Students at Chiawana high school also held a Veterans' Day assembly Wednesday. Other Pasco schools will hold assemblies Thursday and Friday. Veterans' Day is Sunday.
