UPDATE:
KITTATAS, Wash. - Investigators said the teen who claimed a man shot him actually inflicted himself.
They said 17-year-old Chance Kidder left the school around 9am, went home, and shot himself in a barn.
The weapon has been located. No other details are available at this time.

KITTITAS, Wash. - Friends and fellow students said the gunshot victim was 17-year-old Chance Kidder.
Police said Kidder came into the secondary school with a single gun shot wound in the chest. Kidder told police he had been shot by a man around 10:30am in a housing development east of the school.
Officers said the secondary and elementary schools in the town were on lock down until 12:45pm.
Police said Kidder was taken to a hospital on the west side of the state and is in stable condition.

KITTITAS, Wash. - Sheriff's Deputies in Kittitas County are investigating after a high school student got to school this morning saying he was shot off campus.
Sheriff's deputies and state troopers are looking for the shooter in Kittitas. A nearby high school and elementary are on lock down right now.
