KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Three weeks ago the
Kennewick Lions were on the outside looking into the Playoffs. But on Saturday
they'll host a state playoff game at Lampson Stadium.
"It's pretty cool you
know. I mean we know had to win our last three games and we kind of controlled out
destiny, but we knew that we had to get a loss from Southridge...and we had to
win out," wide receiver Kaden Julian said.
"We told our kids clear
back before we played Hanford, 'guys we got to win' and there's no second
chances, no do overs, cant hit the Wii or Nintendo reset button," head coach Bill Templeton added.
No reset button
needed. Kennewick rolled off four straight wins, including a win over Shadle Park that secured a home field first round. With the kick being moved
to 4:00 p.m. the Lions are hoping for some home-town help.
