PASCO, Wash.-People who can't afford their heating bills can't afford to put off applying for help.
Community Action Connections has received a smaller check from the federal government for its energy assistance program this winter.
HomeBase Center Director Cathy Merrill Holle says she hopes to distribute the one-million dollar grant to 2,500 people in the Tri Cities between now and June.
"The amount of money an average household will receive from the program is $425. But it can go anywhere from $25 to a thousand."
Application forms will be available starting Monday at all energy providers in the Tri-Cities.
