RICHLAND, Wash. - Richland Police are still searching for a woman who they said stabbed her boyfriend during an argument Tuesday evening.

Police say 26-year-old Jessica Peterson took a 12-inch kitchen knife and stabbed her 38-year-old boyfriend once in the chest after a fight.

It happened at the Shoreline Village Apartments on the 25-hundred block of Duportail near SR 240.

"He took himself to the hospital and then called us and we contacted him at the hospital and got the information on what happened," said Sgt. Mike Harrison with the Richland Police Department.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital. Peterson is wanted on first degree assault charges.
