KENNEWICK, Wash. - Black Friday is traditionally the biggest shopping day of the year and many big retailers are planning huge door buster sales. Some people are so excited -- they've been camping out for days. "A lot of people think we're crazy, I've seen posts on Facebook. But it's tradition, its family tradition and its fun," said Oscar Perez who has been camping out in the first tent at Best Buy in Kennewick since Tuesday evening.
Others are camping out on a mission, like Cristian Gutierrez who is determined to get a 3-D TV for $1,000. "They tell us, sorry we just sold the last one to the person right in front of you so this year I decided me and my friends are going to camp out and for sure we're going to get a TV," said Gutierrez.
Roman Bondaruk, manager of Best Buy says there is a lot to be excited about this year. Most of the real deals won't be out until Thursday but there are previews on Best Buy's website."There's going to be laptops in the sub $200 category. There's going to be 65 inch TV's for between $600 -$900 tomorrow. There's going to be 26 inch TVs for around $100..There's going to be few camera's half off," said Bondaruk.
Target is also gearing up for their door busters, and they're opening up early this year, 9:00PM. "We have a ton of electronics, we have a ton of movies, a ton of clothing. There's a lot of seasonal, Christmas stuff on sale," said Chris Sanders, the manager of the Richland Target store.
Best Buy, Kohls and Columbia Center Mall are opening at midnight Black Friday, but many other stores are doing it early this year..Walmart, Sears and Toys-R-Us are opening their doors at 8:00PM, and Target at 9:00pm. JC Penny is starting their sales at 6:00AM.
