SPOKANE, Wash. -

Come this time next week, Gonzaga could be off to its best start since 1994 when the coach was the legendary Dan Fitzgerald.

On Thursday the Zags host Lewis-Clark State, the NAIA team from Lewiston. And then on Saturday they play Pacific. Two wins this week would give Gonzaga an 8-0 record, equaling its best start in school history.

Given the Zags' depth and versatility this year, those two wins are well within reach if not guaranteed.

Both games can be seen on SWX and KHQ within the Spokane area. Fans outside the region can watch it on ROOT Sports (check local listings). An exclusive post game report will be on SWX following both games.
