Gonzaga Faces Lewis-Clark State College

SWXRIGHTNOW.COM – SWX's COLIN McQUILKIN: The Gonzaga Bulldogs are back in action on the hardwood tonight against the visiting Warriors of Lewis-Clark State College.

The Bulldogs just returned to Spokane as champions of the Old Spice Classic after defeating Clemson, Oklahoma, and Davidson last week en route to the title. At 6-0, #12 Gonzaga is poised to move into the top ten with upcoming games against Pacific, who defeated Gonzaga's WCC rival St. Mary's only a week ago, WSU, and the #22 ranked University of Illinois.

While those upcoming games are important, the Bulldogs cannot afford to look past the Warriors. Lewis-Clark State enters the tilt tonight with a 9-0 record in the NAIA and will play this game as an exhibition. Gonzaga, on the other hand, will count this game towards their overall record. The Warriors have nothing to lose tonight, and everything to gain from a victory over the Bulldogs, who have had a tendency to look past weaker opponents when big games are right on the horizon.

My Prediction: The Bulldogs start out strong, jump to an early lead and don't look back. Coach Few gets the whole bench involved and the game ends 103-59 in favor of Gonzaga.
