SEATTLE, Wash. - Tuesday's rain and blustery weather, followed by cooler temperatures, is expected to bring heavy snow into the mountain passes.
The National Weather Service is calling for spurts of heavy snow Tuesday night that will be affecting travel. A winter storm warning will be in effect until 4AM Wednesday when the snow level drops to 2,500 feet.
Accumulations of 10 to 18 inches of new snow are possible.
Forecasters are predicting cool, showery weather to continue into next weekend with snow in the mountains and rain in the lowlands and valleys.
