YAKIMA, Wash. - KeyBank has finished remodeling its downtown Yakima branch and office building from the inside out.
Construction crews started work on the building's interior in April and finished up last month. They lowered the ceiling, installed energy efficient lighting, and put in new carpet and tile. The bank's teller line now has under-counter cabinets and is now laminated with a signature red front panel. The bank is also putting up two flat-screen televisions on the wall to showcase new products and services.
Construction workers also put new lighting, carpet, paint, and a ceiling in the upstairs offices.
The exterior remodel involved resurfacing more than 48,000 square feet of the two story building, installing energy efficient double paned replacements, rebuilding the surrounding sidewalks, installing new outdoor lighting, adding new signs and putting in the red canvas awnings.
To thank customers for enduring the remodel, the bank is hosting public appreciation days on Thursday and Friday, December 13th and 14th, from 9 to 5 on Thursday and 9 to 5:30 on Friday.
KeyBank says there will be cookies and coffee, and everyone who comes will get a Yakima apple.
The building is located at 102 E. Yakima Avenue in Yakima.
