YAKIMA, Wash.-- Sunwest Limo in Yakima is giving away free limo rides Friday for everyone who brings along a new toy.
The toys will be donated to Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army. The limos will take people on a tour of neighborhood Christmas lights. Each ride lasts about 30 to 40 minutes.
The event usually brings in about 200 toys. The Salvation Army says it's not just a great way to get donations; it's also a good family event.
"What a great opportunity, you know, the kids have fun, the parents bring their kids, and they meet in the parking lot, and it's just a lot of fun," said Lisa Sargent with the Salvation Army.
The tours start at 5pm Friday night out of the Red Robin parking lot on Nob Hill Boulevard. They'll continue through the evening until everyone who brings a donation has taken a ride.
