Richland group collects baby gifts for veterans

RICHLAND, Wash.-- The Columbia River Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution held a baby shower for veterans Saturday at the Richland Public Library.

The annual party collects baby gifts to be taken to expecting veterans or wives of veterans.

All the gifts will be taken to the Portland VA Hospital branch in Vancouver, Washington.

The group is also sending many handmade blankets to the mothers and their babies to stay warm.
