Yakima, WASH.--You can't pack up a case of wine and send it off in the mail yourself, but don't worry there are plenty of places around town that can do it for you.
Brad Baldwin, the owner of Stems has an agreement with UPS and can send alcoholic beverages to certain states.
Baldwin said you don't have to purchase a bottle at Stems. You can bring in bottles from other local wineries to ship out.
He can ship to around 30 states but some still prohibit it including Pennsylvania, Texas and Massachusetts.
"The only hassle that is involved is if it's a legal state to ship too," said Baldwin. "Actually, they just find out. I can tell them what states I can and cannot ship too."
To ship a case from Washington to the east coast would cost around $60. If you're planning to ship in state, Baldwin said it'll cost about 30 dollars. Also, the heavier the load the more expensive it'll be.
Many of the local wineries can ship their wines, so be sure to ask.
