PORTLAND, Ore. - Rescue teams are preparing to rescue three people who got lost on a winter camping trip near Mount Hood.
The Hood River County Sheriff's Office said on Monday morning rescuers made contact with the three, who appeared to be in good health.
Detectives said the three set out Saturday on snowshoes and called 911 on Sunday to report they were lost.
Deputies said they reported having food and sleeping bag. They said one member of the party was reported to have "extensive training and outdoor experience."
