Police Investigating Attempted Theft at Columbia Center Mall

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police are investigating a theft at the Columbia Center Mall.

Police say a loss prevention officer was watching an employee-only door because someone left a $400 Kitchen Aid Mixer near the door.

Officers say at 8 AM Monday morning, a 43-year-old man from Kennewick came inside and took the mixer.

Police say when the loss prevention officer went up to the man, he dropped the mixer and ran.

Officers say they caught him, but he wouldn't say the name of the employee who left the mixer near the door for him to take.
