Unknown Powder Prompts Investigation in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -    Walla Walla Police continue to investigate an unknown powder that forced the evacuation of the Walla Walla County Public Safety Building Friday around noon.

 

The Walla Walla Union Bulletin reports the powder was found in an envelope addressed to Sheriff John Turner.

Deputies said they evacuated the building for safety reasons while Turner and several others were taken to a local hospital to be examined.

The woman who dropped off the envelope admitted to putting medication inside.
