YAKIMA, Wash.-- With tons of people looking for fun ways to ring in the new year, local bars and restaurants we spoke to are expecting big turnouts.
The Pub in Kennewick is having a live band play and expects to double their business compared to a normal Monday.
The co-owner of Yakima Sports Center says he expects at least three times as many people to walk through the doors Monday night, generating big money to wrap up 2012.
"What I've been gathering from certain customers and regulars, seems like there's a lot of people talking about going out. Lot of people talking about what's going on downtown," said Travis Heitman, Co-owner of Sports Center.
Heitman says because New Year's Eve falls on a Monday this year, they did see a slight drop in business over the weekend with people laying low, getting ready for Monday night.
