SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Spokane Chiefs are looking for a fresh start in 2013 after dropping four of five games to finish off 2012.

Perhaps no loss hurt more than Monday's 6-3 loss in Kennewick. The Chiefs took a 3-2 lead into the third period against Tri-City, only to watch the Americans rattle off four unanswered goals.

That loss was extra costly, since the Chiefs saw what would have been an eight point lead on the Ams for second place dwindle down to four points.

The Chiefs hit the road for a three game swing to western Washington where they will take on Everett and Seattle starting Friday against the last place Silvertips.
