Gonzaga begins play in the West Coast Conference Thursday with a road game at Pepperdine.

The Waves are off to an 8-5 start this year and are celebrating their 75th anniversary under second-year coach Marty Wilson.

Last year, Gonzaga swept Pepperdine, including a 72-60 win in Malibu.
