CORBETT, Ore. - Oregon State Police Officers are looking for the two men who attacked a truck driver early Friday morning.
Officers say 39-year-old Edwin Jones from Nebraska was driving on westbound Interstate 84, just east of Corbett, when he saw traffic stopped up ahead and pulled over in a parking area.
Jones told police he got out of his car, and two men came up to him asking for money and cigarettes. When he told them he didn't have any, he told police one of the men pulled a knife and stabbed him, hurting his hand, lower arm and stomach. Jones said he briefly struggled with them before the drove off going west in a lowered, dark, sport utility vehicle.
Paramedics took him to Mt. Hood Medical Center where he received several stitches before going home.
Officers are looking for the two suspects. Police described the first as a white man in his mid-20's, about 5'10", skinny build, light facial chin hair. Officers describe the second as a Hispanic or Indian man, 5'10", with a heavy build.
