RICHLAND, Wash. - The Pasco Recreation Department is giving you the opportunity to teach your puppy or dog basic obedience.
PRS is holding several six week courses from January to April to teach your pet to sit, stay, recall, use a lease, have household manners and proper behavior.
The puppy classes are on Saturdays, from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM, January 19th through April 27th, and are open to puppies under 8 months of age, with proof of at least two puppy vaccination shots. This class also has a special emphasis on socialization, and includes ten minutes of playtime in each class, along with opportunities for off leash training indoors.
The dog classes are open to dogs of all ages on Saturdays from 12 PM to 1 PM January 19th through April 27th.
Puppy and dog classes don't have a set start date, but participants must attend 6 consecutive classes beginning at any time. People ages 10 and up can sign up.
PRS also requires you to pre-register, the last time you can register in time for a six week course is March 17th.
The classes will be held in the Richland Community Center Arts and Crafts room.
Fees:
$125 (City of Pasco Resident) $187 (Non-Resident) - if you register with Pasco Recreation Services.
$125 (City of Richland Resident) $156.25 (Non-Resident) - if you register with Richland Recreation Services.
