PASCO, Wash.-- Authorities believe they may have broken up a major burglary ring that's affected several homes around the Tri-Cities.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says over the last two months there's been a steady stream of daytime burglaries throughout the Tri-Cities and two suspects were arrested this weekend for the crimes.
Franklin County deputies searched three homes in Kennewick and Pasco this weekend while investigating a burglary that happened in the area of Road 92 and Argent Road in Pasco on Friday.
Deputies found several items that were reported stolen.
Juan Montalvo and a juvenile were arrested for the burglaries.
Deputies say they are suspected gang members and could be tied to other burglaries in the Tri-Cities.
"We've heard of numerous burglaries that match the same description of how these guys are doing it during the day and what they're taking and stuff like that. So we think that these guys are tied to a lot more than what we even know," said Deputy George Rapp, Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
The reoccurring burglaries happened during the day.
Deputies said they stole small electronics, jewelry, alcohol and guns.
The suspects knocked on the doors of the homes they burglarized and then kicked down the doors to enter.
Local law enforcement agencies are working together to solve this string of burglaries. This investigation is ongoing.
