TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Lia Galdeira had 20 points, eight rebounds and seven steals to lead Washington State to a 54-43 victory over Arizona State Friday night.
The Cougars (7-13, 3-6 Pac-12) led 30-20 at halftime and kept a double-figure lead throughout the second half. It was a 24-point margin with 4 minutes to go, after which Arizona State outscored Washington State 17-4 to make the final score a little closer.
The Sun Devils (11-10, 3-6) shot just 19 percent in the second half. Four of their six field goals after halftime were 3-pointers.
Arnecia Hawkins scored 18 points to lead Arizona State. She had four 3-pointers in the game, three in the second half.
