Signal Revision to Prepare for Long-Term Yakima Road Work

YAKIMA, Wash.--You may have noticed road crews working on Yakima Avenue and Fifth Avenue Tuesday.

Crews are modifying signal heads to prepare for construction on the Martin Luther King Underpass.

The Department of Public Works said they're revising the signals to create new traffic patterns. A stretch of 5th Avenue will be used as a detour when Martin Luther King Boulevard is closed for 18 months between First Avenue and First Street.
