A week after the AFL terminated its relationship with the owner of the Chicago Rush, the team said Friday it is under new ownership.

The AFL sent out a news release saying the Rush had been acquired by Star Rush Football LLC.

"The Rush organization is looking forward to seeing you all on March 23 versus the Iowa Barnstormers," the short release read.

The Chicago Sun Times said David Staral Jr. will take over the Rush in time for the 2013 season. But the questions remains as to whether the Rush will be able to play a full schedule this season. Allstate Arena general manager Pat Nagle said there are scheduling conflicts that need to be worked out.

The Rush is scheduled to host the Spokane Shock on March 31.
