YAKIMA, Wash. - A Yakima boy is at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Saturday night while three of his friends were treated locally. All of them fell through the ice on a pond at Kiwanis Park in Yakima around 6:30 p.m.
The Yakima Fire Department said all of them are between the ages of 12 and 14.
When the ice first broke, three of them were able to swim to safety while the fourth boy went underwater. Rescue crews were able to pull him out of the pond and revive him. No word on his current condition. The other three boys were treated at Memorial Hospital for hypothermia.
