SPOKANE, Wash. -

No doubt, it is a good time to be a Bulldog fan. Gonzaga finished off another West Coast Conference sweep last week, stretching their win streak to eight games. And they just keep getting better.

The Zags have a one-and-a-half game lead over Saint Mary's for first place in the conference. They play the Gaels at home on Thursday.

"At the beginning of the year we weren't playing very well," said guard Taelor Karr. "I think it's a testament to the younger kids figuring things out, and all of us getting our team chemistry together."

"Things started clicking, we're starting to make reads and kind of getting to know each other better and what everyone likes to do and not do, and just getting more comfortable out there on the court," said junior Haiden Palmer. "I think the wins help a lot too, obviously, we're starting to get that swagger back."

Swagger, indeed.

Thursday's game against Saint Mary's tips off at 6 p.m. on SWX.
