YAKIMA, Wash.-- Crews from Cascade
Natural Gas today will slow traffic down at the 5th Avenue and I
Street intersection while they move a natural gas line.
While that's going on one lane will
remain open in each direction, and flaggers will be out at the site.
You will still be able to get to any
businesses in the area; they will not be blocked by construction.
The city will work on the 5th Avenue and I
Street intersection until Friday. Work hours are from 6:30 in the morning until
5:30 every night.
The city says drivers should use
alternate routes if possible, and pedestrians should also avoid the area
because of the presence of heavy equipment.
Traffic should be back to normal by this
weekend.
