Board Approves New Superintendent for Milton-Freewater

MILTON-FREEWATER, Ore. -- The Board of Directors for the Milton-Freewater Unified School District has approved the selection of a new superintendent.

Dr. Rob Clark will serve as superintendent for MFUSD starting July 1, 2013.

Clark is currently serves as the special programs director for the Eastmont School District in East Wenatchee.

He will replace James Reger, who is in his final year as Interim Superintendent for MFUSD.

The board selected Clark after meeting with three finalists. Others considered for the position were Terry Brandon of the Marysville School District in Washington and Dr. Ken Cox of the Vernonia School District.

The district is in the process of negotiating Clark's contract, but Clark has confirmed he will take the job.

Clark has served as superintendent at other school districts, such as Cascade School District in Leavenworth, WA, Reardan-Edwall School District in Reardan, WA and Quilcene School District in Quilcene, WA.

Clark says he began his career 30 years ago in the Richland School District.
