Defending 3A softball champ Kamiakin returns with new skipper

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Another Kamiakin team hits the diamond to begin its 3A state title defense. The Lady Braves softball team will start 2013 with a new skipper at the helm. New head coach Tim Bisson was on Tammy Hutchinson's staff last year, so he is familiar with the program. Bisson talks about what makes this year's team and coaching staff different from last year's, saying, "Every season is different. Last year we knew we had a lot of returnees. We knew we were solid. If it's not broke, don't fix it. We're not going to change a whole lot. Tammy was an incredible coach, huge shoes to fill for me. Got a different coaching staff because--we're ready. It's just they are anxious. The staff is anxious. Let's just see what we can do. But we're not going to change much."
