GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Right fielder Carlos Peguero hit a pair of home runs to help lift the Seattle Mariners to a 5-1 win over the Cleveland Indians Wednesday afternoon in Cactus League play at Goodyear Ballpark.

The victory extended the Mariners winning streak to five consecutive games and 5-1 overall record in spring training play.

Peguero got the Mariners on the board with the first of his two longalls in the third inning, directing a line-drive home run over the left field fence off Indians starter Brett Myers. He followed with another home run, this time a towering shot to right field, capping the three-run fourth inning.

In addition to Peguero's big day, designated hitter Raul Ibañez (2x3, 2 R, 2B) and first baseman Kendrys Morales (2x3, R) each recorded multi-hit games.

Starting pitcher Danny Hultzen (1-0) recorded the win firing 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing one hit, two walks and striking out four. Fellow prospect Taijuan Walker followed with two more dominating innings, scattering a single in 2.0 scoreless innings of his own.

The Mariners (5-1) return to Cactus League play tomorrow taking to the road for the third straight day to face the San Francisco Giants (1-1-3) in Scottsdale (12:05 PT/1:05 MT). The game will air on a tape-delayed basis at 7 p.m. PT on ESPN 710 Seattle, but will be available live and free-of-charge via Mariners.com. Right-handed pitcher Jon Garland is scheduled to make his spring debut against Giants right-hander Matt Cain.
