YAKIMA, Wash.-- New developments in the multi-million dollar lawsuit against the Yakima Valley Community Foundation. A judge dismissed the case against YVCF citing a lack of legal grounds. Former employee, John Colgan filed the lawsuit saying he was forced out of the foundation after he took a stand against a racist comment made by another member. The foundation's current CEO says they're happy the case was thrown out. "The litigation itself was never a threat to YVC's goals. It was a distraction from our work and we're glad to have that distraction behind us," said Linda Moore, current president and CEO. Colgan's attorney says he and his client are looking at several options to continue with the lawsuit.
