SPOKANE, Wash. - Experts from the Rockwood Clinic are providing sports medicine care for the State B players and they say their goal is to keep those kids playing.
With so many kids taking part in the WIAA Hardwood Classic State Basketball Tournament, there is always the small chance one of them could be hurt on the court.
Athletics trainer Heidi Peterson said injuries at the tournament are usually not too serious.
The most important thing for these athletes is to let the trainers know if they are coming into the tournament with an injury. That way they can be proactive about your care.
It is also recommended that athletes get in a good warm up, get some sleep, eat a good meal, and don't forget to drink lots of water.
