Pasco Man Wants New Trial

PASCO, Wash. -A man convicted of assaulting two women wants a new trial.

A Franklin County jury convicted Isidro Licon in January of assault with firearm enhancements.

The judge pushed back sentencing Licon until he hears the defense's argument for a new trial.

Licon faces up to ten years in prison.

He's also scheduled to go on trial in April for his alleged involvement in a shooting at a Pasco convenience store.

The prosecutor and defense attorney say they are close to reaching a plea deal in that case.
