WEST LINN, Ore. – People
taking a walk in a park along the Willamette River need to keep an eye out for
a bully--a large bull sea lion.
Police have posted signs
warning visitors and advising them to keep their dogs on a leash to avoid
tangling with the sea lion.
Fish and Wildlife
Department rangers say they believe the sea lion may be resting and recovering
from wounds suffered in fights with other large breeding males.
The sea lions prey on salmon near the base of Willamette Falls.
