RICHLAND, Wash. - The City of Richland is beginning preparation work for Claybell Park improvements and Bellerive Drive extension project.
Claybell Park will be getting four new tennis courts, two new multi sports fields, a new walking trail around the new fields, a new bathroom, and a new parking lot with additional parking on the extended Bellerive Drive.
The extension of Bellerive Drive will include infrastructure improvements to the water line, irritation line, and storm system upgrades.
The city says the overall project will cost $1.5 million.
The original
Claybell Park parking lot will be closed during the project and visitors are
encouraged to park on Broadmoor Street. The existing tennis courts are expected
to remain open until the new tennis courts are completed.
