New Asian Food Truck Opens in Richland

RICHLAND, Wash. - There's a new Asian food truck in the Tri-Cities that's filling stomachs and helping the less fortunate.

Kai Phengsavanh recently opened Kindra's Wok 'N Roll in honor of her daughter who died last year of pneumonia.

According to Phengsavanh, it's the first Asian food truck in the Tri-Cities with made to order items like pad Thai, egg rolls and freshly-steamed banh mi sandwiches.

Plus, egg roll sales go toward Phengsavanh's foundation, KMP Foundation, which recently built a school in Laos.

"It was a dream and vision of mine since the age of 14...wanting to open up a restaurant," said Phengsavanh. "When we built the truck, we looked around and around on what we could do to honor our daughter...so we decided the Tri-Cities is really lacking an Asian food truck," she continued.

Kindra's Rock 'N Roll is located at the John Dam Plaza in Richland. It's open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday thru Fridays.
